The recent rains and storms have likely left a big mess out at Eastwood so I'm hoping some people have time to help cut some branches and wack some weeds this weekend. I will have saws and loppers as well as impliments if you need to borrow. Bring gloves and water. 10 am starting time.

For those that can't make it tomorrow (that includes me), there is more trail work planned for Monday at 6:30 (the earliest I can get out there). Bring what you can, I am guessing there will still be a need for chainsaws.

Well, it looks like my babysitting has fallen through. I will not be coming tonight, but that should not stop anyone else. Matt informed be that the West and Center sections are clear after clearing a lot of downed trees. The East side has at least 2 smaller trees down. Also, weeds are really bad in the field.

I went to the east side on Sat. after we were done with the rest, and I removed any trees that were down.

I'll be out there now. I'll just put the daughter in the kennel.

So after the hard work of Matt Kurke and Bill Baker with the chainsaws a HUGE amount of downed trees have been removed. Also, despite Willard Scott announcing his birthday every year, Gary Gross cleared out almost all of the weeds and overhanging brush on the trails with the club's weed whacker. I managed to clear out most of the nasty stuff in the field area until I had to stop. THANKS EVERYONE FOR HELPING!!!!! Eastwood wood be unrideable right now if not for your efforts.
