Not sure if any of you saw this yet, but be careful, even on trails:
Bicyclist critically injured in collision with car 5/27/2010 10:26:38 AM By Mike Klein The Post-Bulletin, Rochester MN
A Rochester woman bicycling on the Douglas Trail was critically injured late Wednesday afternoon when she collided with a car while crossing a township road.
Michelle Anderson, 24, was in critical condition Thursday morning at Saint Marys Hospital. She was taken there after the accident, which happened at 5:56 p.m. at the junction of the trail and New Haven Road Northwest, south of Pine Island.
Olmsted County Sheriff Sgt. Scott Behrns said Anderson was riding south on the trail and collided with a car driven by Dennis Berg, 46, of Pine Island. Behrns said the forensic mapping unit is investigating.
Behrns said Anderson's bike collided with the rear tire area on the driver's side of the car.
There is a stop sign on the trail at the intersection. Berg told police that he was driving about 40 mph when he crossed the trail.
