Just a warning for anyone planning to ride Eastwood Saturday - 5/8, there is a running race planned for 9am that uses a combination of the bike and ski trails out there. www.active.com/running/rochester-mn/mothers-5k-cross-country-run-2010I don't have anything to do with the race (other than my wife running in it) so I don't know how many people will be there or how long it will last.

This is a 5 km run starting at 9:00 am, so expect runners to be on the course for about 35 minutes (maybe 40 for the stragglers). So trails should be empty by 10:00 am at the very latest.

Thanks for posting the head's up. All runners should be off the course by 10:00. A couple of us might be out there after awards picking up course markings (pink ribbon tape & orange surveyor flags), but we know to be on the lookout for other trail users. The far east trails will not be used, and we'll be through the center ski trails in the first half mile. The biggest affect on mtbers will be the use of the south field and the east/west single track running just in the woods along the south field. Here's a rough course map: www.mapmyrun.com/route/us/mn/rochester/515127298875861163We'll be taking entries Saturday morning, so its not too late to register! My contact info is on the the race entry form if anyone has any questions, and I'll check back here. Rob
