Yeah, that is the plan. Right now we are close to 6.5 miles of trail (from what I am told), the new stuff should bring it close to 7.

The Sandwich 50 registration opens tomorrow and here is what you need to know.
Sign up starts at NOON. If I see an e-mail to register before noon it goes in the trash. In the subject line you WILL only put the word "salami". Here at the deli we have a filter that directs these e-mails, all others go in the trash. There is a problem with online RASC sign up right now. If you get in the race, you have 7 DAYS to mail me your RASC membership form and payment. One e-mail per person, you have to tell me if you are racing "Man" of "Not Man", and where you are from. Got it?
So to recap: Registration is at NOON tomorrow (central time). Subject line will only say the word "salami". RASC forms and payment to me within 7 days of registration. Class you are racing. No pushing in line.
E-mail is charlytri (at) yahoo (dot) com Mailing address is 1318 Cascade St. NW, Rochester, MN 55901

Attention Racers, If you have not signed up for RASC yet the clock is ticking. On the website you will come to a page that has the option to click to join on-line in the middle, or on a tab on the left. It seems only the tab on the left works. Remember, no RASC membership, no race. Here is the link, rasc.multisportsystems.com/page/show/36243-on-line-membership-application

I would like to point out that there is no team competition, your teammates are just a bunch of cheapskates looking for a free race, 100% of the race organization is being done by Velorochester members, Joe is racing on a cross bike (this goes to his mental status), the guy in the green saturn does not discriminate, and you saw nothing for owls.

we will be safe from the green saturn in a pack. we will have special uniforms that break up our outline so we do not fall prey to the green saturn.
In all seriousness, thanks for organizing what will surely be a top notch race! let me know if there anything I can do to help with trail maintenance or race set up.

I'm pretty sure NOT using the terms "pack" and "green Saturn" in the same sentence should be a new rule....cuz I'm guessin' that there is all sorts of packin' been going on in the green Saturn! Please note that this is an assumption....I know not from personal experience.

Well, we are technically down to one left on the wait list. With a few weeks to go it is a safe bet that we will have more people drop out. What does that mean? You can probably get in, but you need to sign up now!
Oh, and if anyone is interested, we are doing a fun mass start race there every Tuesday at 6pm. Cost is free. Currently only 2 people have been able to get close to the 30 minute mark for one lap. Most are mid 30's. The race will be 7 laps plus a prologue.
Just an FYI, you will be considered a finisher by finishing just one lap. You do not need to complete all 7 laps to finish.
