January 1st is coming up fast! There will be a road ride leaving from Dunn Bros South at 1pm. We will ride one mile for each degree above zero Fahrenheit (21 F equals 21 miles) There will also be a shorter mountain bike/fat bike option of one kilometer per degree above zero. (21 degrees would be 13 miles) (Below zero, we ride backwards or just drink coffee) BTW Not planning to ride stop anyway, and join us for coffee and tall tales!
There will also be a fat bike ride at Gamehaven in the morning leaving at 10am. Meet in the lower parking lot on 45th Ave SE. Last year we had a great turn out!
Don't be afraid to do both of them.

The trail is still very slippery, I rode today with a studded tire fat bike and it was sketchy. I'm still planning to ride at 10am, but if you're sure about riding on ice I would skip the ride. Terri is planning to hike at 10am using Yak Traks to you'd like to join her.
If you start at the Bot Scout parking lot the trail up to the fire ring isn't bad at all, just stay south of the fence until the dam. And then cross over to the edge of the lake and up to the fire ring.
