Anybody have information about the groomer for the fatbike trails? I.e. Where it is? What can we expect for freq. of grooming? How soon after a snow and how often throughout the season. Will both Eastwood and gamehaven be groomed? And if so portions or entire trail systems. Who is responsible/accountable to do the grooming? I know many fatbikers with same curiosities. Thanks!

Most of Gamehaven was groomed late Sunday afternoon. We didn't groom the "longest section" to let people have some ungroomed trail to play on. Feel free to weigh in on whether or not people like that idea. We plan to groom Eastwood, but it does mean transporting the groomer so we may not get it groomed until midweek. We probably won't groom early in the day because the snow needs to set before people ride on it. If people ride before it sets up the ruts will freeze in the trail and we can not groom them out until it snows again.
How often we groom will depend on how often it snows or how hard the snow is.
Fatbike grooming is new for us, so expect some missteps and some mistakes. We'll get it firgured out.

We made one pass at Eastwood today, but I don't have a lot of hope the snow will set. The snow is like dust and it didn't seem to pack at all. There is also a very large tree down on the far West end just after where the two trees are very close together.
Try not ride it until Thursday afternoon (12/15)
There is a Fatbike group ride Saturday (12/17) morning at Gamehaven, 10am. Meet in the lower parking lot on 45th Street SE. We'll have the groomer at the start.

I just rode the groomed loop at Gamehaven. (12/15) It is great up to the fire ring, except the areas that always blow in, so expect a few short hikes. The trail out to the old race climb is very good to OK. there are a few narrow areas and blown in spots. But it is all rideable. After the climb is in great shape. Get out there tonight if you can!
