This morning I used a walk behind string trimmer to trim along the trails. I got the twisty part near the gazebo, the prairie area (including the nettle gauntlet), and the eastern section closest to HWY 14. The trimmings should probably be raked up, and there are still a lot of small branches coming out into the trail that need to be cut. I plan to go back out on Sunday morning from 7-9AM. If anyone wants to join me, please do. Wear long pants, long shirt; and bring gloves, water, and a rake and/or hedge trimmer (shears). Attachments:

Made a little more progress Sunday morning. Raked the grass trimmings from the prairie area. Removed some fallen trees from across trails, and clipped lots of buckthorn.
The trails are really wet right now. We should let them dry off a day or so before riding on them.

Thanks for all the hard work, Bill. Customers have noticed. Several people have commented on the conditions of both MTN bike areas being very good for mid summer. Bob
