Load your camping gear on your bike or in a bike trailer and join the fun!
In conjunction with National Bike Travel weekend Jenniene and I will be leading an overnight bike camping trip on June 4-5 2016. All RASC members are welcome to join us. We will camp at the Oxbow Park campground which is north of Byron.
We will start at 1pm on June 4th from the Douglas Trail trailhead near IBM. We’ll ride the trail to CR3 and then CR3 to CR5. We’ll ride south on CR5 to Oxbow. The ride over to Oxbow is 23 miles. The following day we’ll return via Byron and CR34 to the Cascade Lakes trail then to the Douglas Trail trailhead about 15 miles.
Each person needs to be self supported and is responsible for their own camping gear, food, camping fees etc.
I will secure a large campsite ahead of time so there will be room for several tents. Oxbow Park charges camping fees per tent not per campsite so each tent will require a $25 camping fee. The campground does have nice bathroom/shower facilities.
The route is short so this is great chance for anyone new to bike camping to give it a try. If you have questions about loading your bike or anything about gear, food etc. let me know.
I will need to know who is coming so if you are interested send me an email by May 20th.

PS. Jenniene said she'll bring the s'mores!
