Going to Scottsdale for a few days (2/4-7) and would like to bring my bike. Plan would be to UPS the box, so it'd be gone a few more days. Thanks for considering.

Andrew - Since you are shipping the bike, have you considered Air Caddy through: www.shipbikes.com/home3.htmlBasically, you buy a relatively inexpensive shipping container and then using online links, arrange for low cost shipping. Their shipping rates through FedEx are much lower than standard consumer or bike shop rates. Prior to buying a soft, reinforced case, I shipped bikes 8 times with no damage. Cheers

Mike: that's so nice of you! thanks. folpe.andrew (at) mayo.edu.
Ian: yes, I just found out about that. I'm not entirely sure I want to buy their box, just because I don't think I could ever use it on an airplane if I wanted to. I'm really going back and forth on whether I want to buy a box and deal with the hassle and expense of flying my bike. having said that, it would be nice to have my own bike, instead of a rental, when i go places.

If you're doing a lot of traveling, we have a Serfas bike box we are no longer using. We'd be willing to sell it for $195. They're $350 new. We've used it to both UPS a bike and take it on the plane. If you are interested, post a reply and I'll send contact info to your email address.
