So we are just about done with building for the season and if you haven't been out there in a while the new addition is completely open and marked as of today. This includes the new descent back to the bottom of the big climb. You should make sure to get out there if you haven't been.
However we are now looking ahead to the winter season and fat-biking out there. With the new addition there are now around 8 miles of total trail which could be packed for fat-biking. This is a large amount to do without mechanical aid when it snows hard so we are planning some sort of grooming system. What I am looking for is anyone with an older snowmobile with a narrower stance than modern sleds have. I am thinking something like an early 80's arctic cat or along those lines. A small children's 120 cc sled might work as well. We would just like to see if it works before purchasing anything. If you have one that you would be willing to try out there when we get snow please shoot me an email at mjkurke@gmail.com.

Hi Matt, I don't have a snowmobile. But, I have been thinking about grooming along with Dave Hallaway. I'd like to get those interested together to create a winter plan. When are you available to meet? Thanks, Bob G.

That sounds great Bob, my plan was to figure out what resources we needed or already had before deciding on a course of action. I was hoping to get a couple methods to try and then have those interested meet at Gamehaven for a little demo time and to coordinate grooming help since I think this will need to be a small group doing it. If we can get a good grooming plan in place we are going to try to host a fatbike race this winter.
