Update...
I drove the route tonight to check for road construction or other surprises. The roads are fine, no construction but the 1.5 mile section of CR1 is in bad shape so be careful on this short stretch.
The forecast at 8am is 72* and SSW winds of 17mph. The temps and winds are expected to increase through out the day.
I have talked to several people who are planning to ride a shorter distance due to the forecast. There are several places that you can turn back to town and make it a shorter ride. Others have talked about starting earlier. If you are planning to ride the full century and would like to start earlier please go ahead. I plan to ride 57 miles (turning toward Rochester just south of Eyota) and will start at the regular time of 8am.
Whatever you decide to do have a great ride and be careful in the high temps.
See you Saturday!

Join us June 10, 2017, for the 3rd annual Tour de Olmsted a 100-mile unsupported bike ride (not a race) looping around the perimeter of Olmsted County.
The ride will start and end at Bamber Valley Elementary School. Start time is 8 a.m.
Route cities: Rochester, Stewartville, Chatfield, Eyota, Oronoco, Byron, Rochester
If there are enough riders, there could be 2 groups. Pace will be determined by groups.
There will be stops at convenience stores in each city. If the weather forecast is rain for all/most of the day, we will postpone until the following day, Sunday June 11.
Hope to see you there!
